I'm on to day 2 of the Bellagio 3000 dollar event. We're in the money. 17 of us remain and first place will be 250 thousand dollars. I have 101500, and the average is about 108000. We'll be playing a big 3/6000 (500), so anything can happen. I really battled all day and then got extremely lucky against Stu Patterson when I shoved QsTh into his AsAd with 22 left (18 paid) and the board came 9s8h7s6s2c.

The field is kind of tough with notables Jacobo Fernandez, Alex Kravchenko, William Thorsson, Andy Philachack, Scott Montgomery, Stuart Patterson, and the overly talkative Pete de Best. Tomorrow at 3 p.m. we will resume. Right now I'm at a table with Philachack, de Best, and Montgomery all to my direct left in that order. Patterson is also at my table but two to my right. Montgomery ran like God today and has a quarter of all the chips in play.

A win would really cap off a great summer for me. We played 15 hours today. I've also got a really bad cold and probably sneezed like 30 times at the table today. I'm too lazy to go to the store to pick up medicine, so I'm just going to bundle up and try to sweat it out I guess. It's 4:15 a.m. now, so time for bed.
