I battled for 84 minutes before busting with 6 minutes left in level 1 in 165th place. Jon, too, is out :( I opened 5 hands on the day. The first hand of the day I found two red fours in the hijack and made it 8600 to go at 1500/3000 (400). Bax folded and Hellmuth made me sweat before folding, something he does often. The blinds folded. The next hand I found KJo in MP and made it 8200 to go. Hellmuth didn't like it and said, "Getting a little aggressive aren't we," as soon as I touched my chips. Everyone folded again, and I'd scooped 15400 in blinds and antes in the first 2 hands. JohnnyBax then got eliminated and Chip Reese moved into his seat. I went through two rounds of blinds and then found T7cc in EP and raised to 8400. It looked like a good steal spot, but much to my chagrin to SB moved me AI, and I folded. I went through the blinds again and then shoved QTo for 35000 in the cutoff. Everyone folded. I went through the blinds once more and then found T7cc in the hijack. I shipped it for 33500. Reese folded and then Hellmuth again went into the tank. I figured it was just more of his Hollywooding, but this time he called, and the blinds folded. He showed Ac9s for a standard call here. The board gave me hope on a KJ9 with no clubs flop. The turn was a 4 and the river was a K. I had a good feeling about this tournament, and the atmosphere around it was really cool. I would've liked to be around a little longer. I got a haircut and now I think I'm gonna go to the gym, finally, to get a membership. There are foru events at Caesar's in the next 4 days that I will probably play. They are 500, 1500, 2000, and 500 buy-ins, respectively. It'll be hard to get motivated for the 500s, so I may not play them if I have things to do. I do, however, have a lot of work to do to get out of the hole in 2007. There is then one day off before the 5000 dollar event at Caesar's. I appreciate everyone's support. I hate that I couldn't get it done. I'm still going to come to play everyday. SS
