School, Poker, Gym, Entourage

I'm running out of titles. I'm sitting in a computer lab on campus as I type this. We're in the middle of the sixth week of classes. After Thursday, I'll've had a test in all 5 of my classes. I reported I made a 99 on my Music test, but I'm a little disappointed in my grades on two others tests, an 80 on my Operations Mgmt test and a 78 on a Management test. I guess those aren't too, too bad though, and I can take comfort in knowing that it doesn't matter at all in the long term. Still, I came back to school to prove to myself I could do very well though. I could've prepared better. I've been really lazy the last couple of weeks for whatever reason. My apartment is a wreck and my refrigerator (sp?) is bare.

I've been playing a few of the FTOPS tournaments that have been going on the last week or so. I've cashed in 3 of 4 that I've played, but none for meaningful figures. I think I lost key flips semi deep in all 3 of the cashes. The FTOPS and WCOOP are some of the few tournaments all year long that motivate me to really focus and make me really want to play online MTT. I've been doing a good job of keeping the TV off and not browsing the internet while playing. It goes without saying, but you shouldn't do this stuff while playing. Let me tell you, it makes a world of difference whether you believe it or not. Sadly, it's really hard to do. I'm looking forward to the FTOPS 5000 dollar event this Saturday. I'd love to really crack off a monster score in online MTT and prove that I can do it with the best of them in all arenas of tournament poker. This event happens to fall on Valentine's Day. I guess that's cool in the sense that it allows me and other high stakes poker players an excuse not to hafta find a date that night. I'll probably play whatever FTOPS event is Wednesday night as well. Wednesday is turning into a really decent day to play online MTT, actually. In other poker news I'll be going to Los Angeles for the LAPC main event next Friday February 20.

The gym bet is going less than stellar so far this month for both Mike and myself. Coming into he and I had attended the gym an abysmal 3/9 and 4/9 days respectively. Keep in mind 16/28 is the requirement. The plan for me is to go the next 4 days to get back on pace. The other day I ran 5.00 miles on the treadmill and puked in a trash can at the gym, lol. I've been pushing myself though and it feels good.

Finally, I've been watching a helluva lotta TV. I've finished the first 2 seasons of It's Always Sunny, and I watched seasons 1 and 2 of Entourage in just 2 nights. I'm addicted to Entourage and plan on watching season 3 tonight. I've been on a sick bad sleep schedule on my off days, going to bed at 6 a.m. and waking up around 3:30 p.m. as a result.

Life's good no complaints.
