Spring Break

Weeeee. It's spring break. First time I've celebrated this occasion as a student since 2005. I'll be spending a week in Austin, Texas hanging out with Adam Geyer. I leave in the morning. I'm really looking forward to it. Austin is just sick. There's a music/film festival called South by Southwest that we're gonna check out. Might also take a trip down to the beach around there. It'll be nice to just get outta Tuscaloosa for a lil bit. We're through 10 weeks of school. When we return from break, six more weeks remain before final exams.

Since I last posted I attended the Davis Cup. That was a really good time. Got to see Andy Roddick, James Blake, the Bryan brothers, and the impressive 23 year old Stanislas Wawrinka from Switzerland. Wawrinka severly outplayed Blake in his singles match en route to a 3 sets to 1 victory, but he was no match for sixth-ranked Andy Roddick in the series-clincher.

What else? Workouts are going good this month. I'm off to a 7 for 12 start in March. Today's workout totals 35 total workouts in the last 60 days. I must say I'm really satisfied. I can see my body changing and all my clothes fit nicely. What a great feeling that is. I'm actually gonna have to go buy some more jeans because some of mine are just redic baggy now. I weigh like 195 now, I think. I've still got a long, long way to be where I wanna be though. Maybe like 50 more workouts. It's a testament to how badly I treated my body the last few years. How some of you guys and girls workout consistently for years into your adulthood really impresses me.

I went to the Alabama baseball game last night. Bama 11, Samford 6. Tonight Tim, my friend Ben and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch Bama vs Vandy in the first round of the SEC basketball tournament. Bama played spectacularly, won, and keeps its postseason hopes alive. We'll have to win the next 3 games in the tournament to get a bid to the NCAA tournament. One more win might be enough to secure a spot in the NIT. Ok I'm rambling. Gotta get up early.
