I'm in the money and onto day 2 of the $1500 Pot Limit Omaha event. This is only my second career live cash in a non-NLHE event (2008 $1500 PLO8 event was the other). It's my first cash of the 2009 WSOP (1 for 4) and my 11th career WSOP cash. I'll take 34,500 into the 2 p.m. PDT start. The average is 45,000 and 81 players remain from the 809 entrants. I had a nice stack of 58000 going into the final two levels of the night but then I hadda make a laydown in the following pot: The table was playing tight so I opened QhQd9d3h from EP to 2700 and was flatted by a guy in position. Flop AhQx4h. I decided to go for the checkraise but guy checked behind me. Turn 9h making me the new second nuts. I bet 4500 and guy called. I just told myself no Ace, no Ace. River Ace of course. I block/valuebet 7000 after some thought and the guy asked how much I bet then moved in for just 17600 more. I puked and folded. It's especially tough to chunk given that I have a 9 in my hand for the A9 blocker. Guy was a gentleman and later told me that he had AQ4x for a flopped three pair and rivered nuts. He made a big laydown against me too when he flopped three pair on J63 and I had middle set of sixes, led, got raised, and moved in on him. Despite it being PL and no antes in the pot there were a few guys trying to fold into the cash so I kinda tried to wreck the bubble. It started out working well but eventually I met a lot of resistance from this European guy to my left, Matt Stout and another young guy to my left that I don't know by name. There's absolutely no reason that I can't win this bracelet. Obviously there's still a long way to go though and lots of great players left in the field. We'll play 6/1200 for 2 more minutes before kicking it up to 8/1600. Also my online Finance class for The University of Alabama officially begins tomorrow, yuck.  SS
