Pretty decent day in the $5000 6max NLHE event. It culminated with me having 111,200 with the average 87,000. The field drew an unbelievably 928 players and 160 remain with 90 of us getting paid. First place is a whopping $1 Million. There were really two key hands to the day. One where a mark raised from the SB to 1400 at 2/400 and I called with 92hh. Flop AhTh8d. He bet 2000 and I called. Turn Jd. He bet 6000 and I called. River black 7. He bet 10,000 and I thought before moving him in for his last 24000. Guy tanked two minutes then said, "There's no way you have KQ." My heart actually sunk because I thought he had Q9 after that comment. Then, he called. I turned my hand over and he turned over AKss :) He also sat in the seat for a full orbit before exiting the tournament area. Then late in the night I raised A8dd from the CO to 3200 and a good player named Ben "Benba" Lamb defended. Flop Ah6h5c. He checked and I checked. Turn 4s. He led 4600. River Th. He checked, and I decided to valuebet 8500. He thought 5 seconds and said raise making 16500 more. I thought 2 minutes and called and he rapped the table. Tournament resumes at 2 p.m. Pacific time tomorrow. Congrats to Mike for final tabling the $3k and finishing 6th. SS
