Good Sunday Online

The last week or so in Vegas has been a good time. We've done a lot of vegging and attended some sporting events. The NBA Summer league was in town and we make an appearance every year. This year we watched probably 30 hours of basketball over 4 days and had a really good time betting everything against each other. We also went to see that movie "Bruno" which was pretty lame, and we attended the Las Vegas 51's Triple A baseball game on Friday night. We also went indoor skydiving at this place near our condo which was a pretty cool experience. Aside from that we decided to try some of the Vietnamese and Thai food that's in Chinatown on Spring Mountain and we're hooked. I think we've had 3 or 4 different meals there in the last few days. It was really nice to actually have some time to relax out here for a week after grinding, grinding and grinding some more tournaments all summer long. That said, I woke up around 2:30 p.m. yesterday and still decided to play what remained of the Sunday online tournament schedule. It turned out to be a quality Sunday as I found a second place finish in Full Tilt's turbo 100 rebuy for like $26,000, a small cash in the Stars' $200 rebuy, and finally an 8th place finish in Stars' $500 tournament for $10,500 or something. It adds some more cash to the small win that I'd booked this summer, and it'll make leaving Vegas a little easier. Also congrats to my buddy Justin Young for outright winning the FTP Sunday Brawl yesterday. I, of course, waited until the last minute to try to get my Tahoe shipped back to Alabama. Now I'm paying the price as I'm waiting around while they're trying to dispatch a driver to haul it across the country. I guess there's really no reason for me to still be in Las Vegas, as I could just leave my truck with my friends and have the guys pick it up there. Still, I'm not quite ready to leave and think I'll book a flight that will have me back in Birmingham on Wednesday. The plan upon arriving is to hang out around Birmingham for a few days to visit my dad and sister Heather. Then, I have to head back to Tuscaloosa and endure two weeks of hell as I try to complete an entire summer online Finance class before the August 7 due date. I obviously didn't so much as pick up the textbook while I was out here this summer. I'm very excited to sort of return to a life of normalcy once I get back to Alabama. I'm back up to about 205 lbs after showing up in Vegas at about 197. Sadly, I probably would've signed for gaining JUST 8 lbs and living the lifestyle that I have over the last 7 weeks. Mike and I are probably gonna put our gym bet back into effect for the month of August, and I'm definitely gonna start eating right again. That's all. SS
