Not a whole lot has been going on since I last posted 11 days ago. I finished my finance class with an A+. Obviously I'm really happy about that, especially given that I crammed an entire semester worth of work into two weeks. It makes me feel good that I still have a little bit of work ethic left after being a professional poker player for the last, almost, 4 years. I spent the weekend here in Tuscaloosa as my 21 year old sister Carly graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Marketing. The commencement ceremony was a bearable 90 minutes, and I couldn't help but get pretty damn jealous. Hopefully I won't meet any roadblocks and will myself be walking 9 months from now. We had our extended family down to my apartment in Tuscaloosa for the graduation party, and Carly's friends came over as well. We put down too many drinks to count and had a helluva good time. Some of us even headed out to the bars after. Aside from running a couple errands here and there, I've been doing a lot of nothing. Actually, Mike and I did put our gym bet back into effect. I've gone to the gym the last two days after not having been in close to 3 months. I'm sore as hell. It took like an hour just to get to sleep last night because I was hurting so bad. Classes start next Wednesday the 19th. I plan on having just Tuesday and Thursday classes which will be great. I'll also have a 50 minute class on Wednesday, but this will allow for a couple of long weekends for poker and college football related travel. I'm really excited about the fall. It should be a really good time. I plan on having a lot of fun. I'm close to hiring an assistant here in Tuscaloosa to help me with errands and other stuff around the house that I don't want to and don't have time to do. This should free up some time for maximum fun this semester and maybe even allow me to play a little more poker. Hmm, what else? I've finally started to take advantage of my Netflix membership. In the last 3 days I've watched Kill Bill Vol. 2, Pineapple Express, and Slumdog Millionaire. Slumdog was just absurdly good in my opinion. I should be receiving another batch of movies tomorrow: Role Models, Poolhall Junkies, and Gran Torino. My sister and I might go over to Atlanta on Friday night for an Incubus concert. I'm definitely gonna play the $2500 FTOPS on Saturday and the main event on Sunday. I've bled a bit in the few tournaments and cash games I've played in the last couple weeks, so hopefully this weekend goes well. SS
