This has been maybe my longest sabbatical from blogging in the 4 years I've been doing it. Since I last posted I've been busy with school and some traveling. My sister Carly and I went to Auburn and watched Bama escape with a win, and last weekend some friends and I headed over to neutral Atlanta for the SEC Championship. A friend and I tipped a security guard $100 to get into the stadium ;) It was easily the most exciting sporting event I've ever attended as Bama cruised to a victory. As a result Bama is headed to the national title game in Pasadena in early January. I'm going and taking my mom and sisters with me, can't wait!
Also, the fall semester has come to a close. I did pretty well again and am kinda waiting for my final grades to be posted. It feels good to knock out another one and feels great knowing I have just one semester to go. This was a semester that I'll never forget, mainly because Alabama football has made things so exciting.
As I write this I'm in a hotel room at Bellagio for the WPT Five Diamond $15,000 event that starts later today. I actually played a $5k prelim on Friday and busted 4 hours in. I was mostly happy with how I played, and it felt good to be back playing a live tournament. It had been 3.5 months since I'd played anything live, so I had to shake off the rust a little bit. I went broke in a spot against Jason Potter where I got it in drawing dead with AJcc in a 3bet pot on JdTd4s2s against his set of tens.
I'm gonna get some sleep. Hopefully tomorrow goes well.
