Early exit today in the 1500 dollar shorthanded NLHE event. I busted on the 9th hand. I drew a table with Isaac Haxton in the 4, me in the 1, and 4 unknown players. On the 9th hand I found two red sevens in the cutoff. I raised to 150 and Isaac raised to 600 in the BB. I called and left myself 2450, covering him by 75 chips. The flop came 982 rainbow. Isaac led out for 900. I didn't expect Isaac to just check out with an AQ or AK type of hand because he's just not that type of player. I also felt there was a chance he had TT or JJ but almost never QQ, KK or AA. I decided to go with it and jammed it for his 2375 total. He quickly called, and I said, "You win." He turned over JJ, and I missed the miracle 7. On the very next hand with my last 75 chips I moved in having looked at only the 9h. I found the 4h with it after the BB called. He showed K3o, and the doorcard as a K. Pretty standard jam I think given the spot, especially in a crapshoot 1500 dollar buy-in. I know going in that there is going to be a whole lot of gamble in these small tournaments, so I'm looking to make something happen and this spot smelled yummy. Didn't work out. Back in action tomorrow in the 5000 dollar PLHE World Championship tomorrow. We went to Red Rock and saw Knocked Up. It was very, very good. I lost my phone in the casino, but I'm really hoping they find it. I think I'm about a 2:1 dog to get it back, so let me suck out one time.
