Sorry for the lack of posting blog readers!
It's been a really busy and stressful return to poker since I took July off. I'm just getting my hair done and figured instead of reading trashy magazines, why not make a quick post. Yay for iPads! Ok so here's what's been happening (trying to sum up 2 or 3 months here)...
- quit PLO at the end of August (lost 60 buy ins, was 50 below ev fwiw)
- although PLO is a fun game, needed to go back to what I know
- so back grinding 100nl fr
- going to be earning 50k vpp a month to finish the year whole maintaining SNE for 2013
- me and Adam (aka fishbones) got engaged!
- saw a black bear while I was hiking! (had no idea they were even in the area I was in so it was a very scary surprise!)
- Took a series of tennis lessons (LOVE playing tennis but I hurt my wrist and haven't been able to play for a while unfortunately)
- finished my first season of softball which was fun! Our team finished second in the playoffs which was a bit disappointing because we usually should of beat the team we lost to in the playoff but they ran good and we didn't play our best. If the team will have me back I'll play next year. I suck but have a talent for getting walks, lol.- found a yoga studio near me that has hot yoga, gave it a try and actually loveeedddd it (I've tried yoga in the past and hated it). So I'm going to make a routine of going to a few classes a week!
- also found spinning studio near me and LOVE spinning for a good cardio sweat workout so I'll be doing that on the days I don't do yoga
- have found if I go to workout classes in the morning it works really well for a few reasons: something to get up for so I have more incentive to sleep at a normal time and get out of bed in the morning, the workout is done for the day- I feel better for the entire day, play better poker... Etc etc.
Eventually I will try to do a real poker blog but as you can see I've just been working on getting balanced while play all my hands needed to earn 50,000 vpp a month. After August, it was a relief to get back to NLHE in September. I had a pretty good month. The stress of August took a toll on me but happily, I've recovered my losses and I'm determined to end the year nicely and am very anxious to see what changes we will have in 2013 for the stars VIP program. If it doesn't get harder, I just might shoot for 1,000,000 vpps again!
