I have been fortunate enough to be featured in the poker (and non-poker media) quite a few times over the last few months. In this blog post, I will share with you a few of these mentions, many of which include lots of free educational poker content. This blog post has been in the works for quite a while, but great things have kept popping up. Sorry that it is so long!

The Cover of CardPlayer Magazine

CP cover

I recently made the cover of the July 20, 2016 issue of CardPlayer Magazine! It is a huge honor to be featured on the cover of poker’s biggest magazine for the second time. (The first time was was back in December 2007!). The 5-page cover story discusses surviving and thriving on the poker circuit over the last decade, the top 5 mistakes amateurs make, the success of my poker books, and my free 18-part webinar series for Excelling at N0-Limit Hold’em. You can read the entire article here! (You may have to use the “zoom” button at the bottom of the page if the text is too small).

PodcastEp47TwitterThe Mindset Advantage Podcast

Recently I was a guest on episode 47 the Mindset Advantage podcast discussing my new book with Dr. Tricia Cardner titled Peak Poker Performance. The Mindset Advantage is my favorite poker podcast and it is always an absolute treat to be a guest on it. If you aren’t listening to this enlightening podcast on a regular basis, you are missing out.

Under The Gun Podcadavid-tuchman-poker-podcastst

David Tuchman, host of the Under the Gun podcast asked me if I would come on his show for a brief 10-minute segment during episode 64. Of course, I said I would. Our call was so much gun that it ended up lasting an hour. We discussed a fun hand where David bluffed off his stack in a recent WPT event. We also discussed a nasty spot I encountered in a $25,500 buy-in event where, looking back, I probably should have folded trips on the flop. If you are into poker strategy, poker psychology, or fantasy sports, check out the Under The Gun podcast.

g7gwetweCommentating and Playing the Global Poker League

I was recently honored to have the opportunity to commentate on the Global Poker League. I flew from my home in New York City to Malta to commentate on the 6-handed and heads-up matches for two weeks, from match 117 – 133. That was a lot of commentating! I had a ton of fun. If you enjoyed my analysis, please let the people at the Global Poker League know on Twitter so I have the chance to commentate again.

I also got to play match 156 of the Global Poker League, where I had to win 3 out of 3 heads-up games versus Phil Galfond (one of the biggest winners in poker). Unfortunately I only won 2 out of 3, but we had an amazing match (including some sweet bluffs from me and some hero calls and hero folds by him).

The play starts 13 minutes into the video, so fast forward to that point.

If you enjoyed this match, you can watch ALL of the matches I have played and commentated on the Global Poker League at JonathanLittlePoker.com/gpl.

cover170x170Mention on Full Contact Poker Podcast

Daniel Negreanu recently started hosting the Full Contact Poker podcast. I have made a point to listen to every episode so far and it has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. Daniel always makes a point to ask his guests what players need to do if they want to be more involved with poker than simply playing the game. In a recent episode, Jason Somerville detailed a few excellent suggestions. 1:03:00 into his episode (episode 3), he also mentioned me as the best poker author of my generation, which is a huge complement. It is an honor to be held in such high regard by my peers. If you aren’t listening to Full Contact Poker, you are missing out.

seth-rogan-jonathan-little-pokerMention on The Nerdist Podcast

Completely to my surprise, Matt Mira, one of the hosts of The Nerdist podcast (one most popular podcasts in existence) mentioned how he has enjoyed reading Excelling at No-Limit Hold’em in episode 821. He also mentions how you can download the audio version for free if you have never signed up for audible. From there, they have the hilariously funny Seth Rogan on and talk with him about his various projects. You can check out my mention four minutes into the podcast here.

ftt-appFloatTheTurn.com Push/Fold App released

Over at FloatTheTurn.com, we are working hard to bring you new innovate tools and training content to help take your game to the next level. We developed an app that allows you to clearly see which hands you should go all-in with when the action folds to you when you have a short stack. There are a few other push/fold apps on the market, but ours allows you to easily move to the next position you will be in when after you fold or steal the blinds with your current hand, allowing you to quickly reference the charts while you are playing. If you want to ensure you never make a bad all-in again, check out the FloatTheTurn.com Push/Fold app.

Bluffs_cover_miniBLUFFS released

I recently released my newest book BLUFFS. This 200-page book details 18 situations where you can increase your level of aggression to steal numerous pots that many players otherwise concede. With the help of Albert Hart, one of my students who diligently studied my webinars and transformed from a weak, tight, passive player to a strong, loose, aggressive player, (he has over $85,000 in cashes this year!), I vividly explain the steps you can take to add a large arsenal of bluffs to your poker strategy. If you are interested in moving away from weak, straightforward poker, check it out. PokerNews.com was kind enough to review BLUFFS here.

That is all I have for you today. I hope you enjoyed this blog post. It is always nice to see others enjoying my content and sharing it with their friends. Be sure to check back next week for another educational blog post. Thanks for reading.
