Dutchman Overcomes All-Belgian Final In Hold'em Challenge

Mark Roovers Is The Hold'em Challenge's Autumn Champion

Mark Roovers is the champion of the PokerStars.be Hold’em Challenge Autumn Edition after topping a field of 352 for a payday of €27,000.

The poker blogger/player from the Netherlands qualified online several times over for the €550 buy-in six-max event held at Casino de Namur in Belgium.

A deal was made fourhanded and then the sole Dutchman at the final table withstood the Belgian onslaught to go heads up with Stéphane Bellens. It wasn’t to be for Belgium though and the trophy left home soil with Bellens finishing in second place for €21,856.

Roovers follows in the footsteps of Ioannis Kontonatsis who won the Summer Edition, taking the top prize of €40,716 home to Greece.
