PartyPoker Reduces Rakeback For Elite PlayersLoyalty Program’s 50 Percent Rakeback Platinum Elite Status To Be Shut Down |

PartyPoker.com will scrap the Platinum Elite status in its VIP program which currently offers players up to 50 percent rakeback.
The top bonus level will now offer no more than 30 percent effective rakeback.
A spokesperson for the company said, “We believe the change will allow us to manage our poker room more effectively and ultimately allow for fairer distribution of bonuses across the network – this change will be implemented on as of the start of April 2013 onwards.”
The move is part of PartyPoker’s attempts to improve its poker ecology.
In July 2012 the company disabled some of its high stakes tables while December saw bwin poker players join the PartyPoker player pool.
Earlier this month the company exited a major affiliate deal with a view to recruiting more players directly to help address its ecology issues.
