Pennsylvania Casino CEO Suspended After Letting Minors Onto Casino FloorMichael Bowman Engaged In 'Reckless' Behavior, Regulator Says |

The CEO of Pennsylvania’s Valley Forge Casino Resort has been hit with a 15-day suspension for allowing a couple of underage women onto the casino floor in 2013.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Michael Bowman “helped two women who were hotel guests and banquet attendees gain access to the casino floor, waving them through [even] when a security guard held them up to check if they were old enough.”
Also as punishment, Bowman must undergo eight hours of “training” and apologize to his staff.
Bowman said he thought the women were at least 30.
State gaming regulators said that the women did not drink or gamble.
One regulator called his behavior “reckless.”
Pennlive.com posted an article Thursday asking readers whether Bowman’s punishment was “fair.” Pennsylvania is a state which imposed a $75,000 fine on a poker dealer who stole $200 and charged a roulette dealer with crimes for telling a gambler about a “lucky number” even though there was no possible manipulation of the game.
The answer? Well, Bowman’s punishment arguably is somewhat mild compared to what others in the Pennsylvania gambling industry have received for their misconduct.
