This weekend marks the official launch of FantasyDraft.com.

The cool new daily fantasy site with an awesome referral program will give out more than $400,000 in guaranteed prizes this weekend.

FantasyDraft offers an awesome double down bonus up to $600, but perhaps even more juicy is the potential huge overlay in FantasyDraft’s inaugural $250,000 Sunday Sizzler.

As I write this, the $250,000 Sunday Sizzler has 358 players signed up. The entry fee is $25 and the $250,000 prize pool is guaranteed. A total of 10,000 players will need to sign up in order for this contest to not have an overlay.

From the looks of it, the overlay is inevitable and it’s going to be huge.

Season long leagues are coming to a conclusion and many people will miss the thrill of watching football on Sundays with a fantasy team to root for. If you’ve ever wanted to try out NFL DFS this is the time and the place.

In order to help you get started, I’m going to break down each position and highlight some players who seem like good values to me.

Quarterback

Peyton Manning ($17,800) – Everyone will be jumping on Aaron Rodgers this week, and with good reason. But I think the savvy tournament play is to grab Peyton Manning for $400 less. Manning is going to be at home and coming off a sub-par game for him. He has the ability to really pile it on at times and this could be a situation where he does just that.

Matthew Stafford ($14,000) – Tampa Bay is just not a very good pass defense. Stafford gets to take his crack at them in the most favorable situation possible. He’s at home indoors and has his main man Calvin Johnson back from injury and coming off a huge game on Thanksgiving.

Brian Hoyer ($7,500) – Warning. Not for the faint of heart. There’s a real possibility Hoyer gets benched for ‘Johnny Football’ in this game. I wouldn’t touch him in my 50/50 games. But in a tournament, for the bare minimum price, with Josh Gordon on his side and top Colts cover man Vontae Davis uncertain to suit up? Yep. I’m in.

Running Back

C.J. Anderson ($13,900) – There are no guarantees in football. But C.J. Anderson right now is getting pretty close. He’s on the field an absolute ton and plays on one of the best offenses in football. He gets tons of carries, yards after contact, catches passes, goal line work. It’s tough to ask for more out of your RB1.

Denard Robinson ($11,200) – I love this guy. I’m always telling my friends, “I don’t know how since he plays for Jacksonville, but Denard just always has 9 carries for 75 yards in the second quarter it seems.” The Houston run defense doesn’t scare me, as Pro Football Focus grades it as a bottom ten unit. Denard isn’t necessarily safe, but I think he’s a quality back in a good matchup for a discounted price.

Jonathan Stewart ($8,800) – New Orleans has been completely gashed by the run of late. And Stewart’s backfield mate DeAngelo Williams may not suit up for this one due to a fractured finger. If Stewart is the workhorse back in this one, he has a chance to put up a nice game at a very affordable price.

Wide Receiver

Josh Gordon ($14,900) – This is predicated on Vontae Davis not playing for the Colts. If Davis plays, Gordon is much, much, much riskier because Davis is just that good. However, if Davis sits, Gordon is in line for one of those crazy games you remember from last year. He is being targeted on over 39 percent of his routes in his two games since returning from suspension. No biggie, just 8 percent more than any other receiver in the league. If Davis is able to play, it’s really hard to argue with Demaryius Thomas, Calvin Johnson or Jordy Nelson as elite wide receiver plays.

Kenny Stills ($10,100) – This is one of those situations I like to mention where a player’s salary is just lagging behind his current situation and production. Since Brandin Cooks’ season ending injury, Stills has games of eight catches for 98 yards and five catches for 162 yards and a score. Stills’ value right now is almost certainly within the top 15-20 receivers, and his price just doesn’t reflect that.

Charles Johnson ($7,300) – Johnson has absolutely usurped Cordarrelle Patterson’s starter role in the Minnesota offense. Last week he had a down game with just two catches on four targets, but I suspect that was heavily due to the fact that Minnesota blocked two punts and returned each for a touchdown, nullifying their need to throw the ball much the rest of the game. The Jets secondary is having a tough time in coverage, and Johnson was gaining steam in the two weeks before last.

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski ($13,800) – I mention him every week because he’s so far and away the best tight end option in the game. Other tight ends come equipped with so much volatility. Gronk goes out and performs at a high level week in and week out, offering you safety and upside that are both unparalleled at the position.

Antonio Gates ($11,300) – Call this one a hunch, but I think Gates has a nice game here. The Patriots do fantastic work covering receivers and that leads to quarterbacks targeting tight ends against them. Gates still has the ability to exploit a defense and is probably my second favorite tight end play this weekend.

Jordan Cameron ($6,300) – Cameron is coming off a concussion and may not play this week. If he does play, however, this $6,300 price tag is stealing. Keep an eye out for his availability as the games near and if he’s in, give him a whirl.

Defenses

I like the Lions, Broncos and 49ers if you’re shopping on the top shelf. From the bargain bin, I think the Vikings, Saints and Redskins could all pay dividends. For what it’s worth, to me the Vikings at home against the Jets for the bare minimum is hands down the best play.

Kickers

I don’t know. Draw straws or something. Try to make sure your guy isn’t hurt or looking for a job and you have just as much of a clue as I do.

Regarding FantasyDraft and their launch for this weekend, I can’t stress enough how beneficial it will be to play the Sunday Sizzler this weekend if the overlay plays out the way I think it’s going to. You could be looking at a tournament slated for 10,000 players that ends up with 3,500. It’s certainly something I’m going to be monitoring and if it shapes up that way I’ll be blasting multiple lineups into the Sizzler because the value will be amazing.

Best of luck to you if you decide to join in on the fun. I’m ianj300 on FantasyDraft. Keep an eye out for me somewhere near the bottom of the standings most likely!
