A man who sued a Las Vegas casino over his $500,000 in gambling losses has been indicted for allegedly passing bad checks in the incident.

High-stakes gambler Mark Allen Johnston lost the sum on Super Bowl weekend in 2014 playing table games and claimed the Downtown Grand casino-hotel gave him too much to drink and allowed him to keep playing. Johnson was extended credit to gamble with, and according to the indictment he owes the casino money, vcstar.com reported. He has also been charged with theft.

According to the report, Nevada gaming regulators already have closed an investigation into Johnson’s claims against the property for a lack of evidence.

Johnson, who is from California, reportedly failed to appear at a preliminary hearing on Friday and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
