If you’re in Las Vegas on Dec. 8, don’t miss out on a great opportunity to be charitable, watch hockey, and have some fun playing your favorite game. The popular Charity Series of Poker will be hosting a terrific poker tournament to benefit the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, which serves as the primary charitable link between the NHL’s newest team and the Las Vegas community.
Unlike other events, this tournament is open to the public and absolutely everyone is invited. You don’t even have to play poker to come down and support this great cause! The day of the event, come to Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. The fun starts at noon with the official Vegas Golden Knights official watch party.
This will be your chance to watch the game with poker superstar (and NHL fan) Daniel Negreanu, who will also be playing in the CSOP tournament. Other confirmed players in attendance will be John Cynn, Matt Savage, Jeff Madsen, Jo Kim, Lexy Gavin, and Ryan Leng. Kane Hodder who played Jason Voorhees in a few Friday the 13th movies, is confirmed as well.
Immediately following the Vegas Golden Knights Official Watch Party, the Charity Series of Poker tournament will begin in Planet Hollywood on the Mezz. The reception kicks off at 3:00 pm, with the tournament officially starting at 4:30 pm.
The buy-in for this event is a modest $300, which includes open bar reception, food, and your tournament ticket. Rebuys and add-ons are available for $100. Since this is a charity event, credit cards are gladly accepted. The chip leader and rebuy leader at the end of the registration period will receive $1,000 cash each. Win this thing, and you will walk away with a $10,000 seat into the 2019 WSOP main event.
The event is open to the public and if you’d like to attend but don’t care to play poker, a $75 reception-only ticket will get you the open bar reception and food. Lots of other prizes including Vegas Golden Knights tickets and items will be available in the tournament and silent auction. Players can get more information, register, or bid on silent auction items online by clicking here.
The event is also sponsored by Card Player Magazine, Poker Central, Ultimate Boat Racing Experience, Planet Hollywood, Jason of Beverly Hills, Card Player Cruises, Lake Las Vegas Water Sports, All-American Dave Fit Food Truck, VerStandig Law, Clayton Tax and Financial, Original Cocktail Club, and Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club. ´
