The largest poker room in Europe reopened its doors on Monday, May 11 after being closed for 59 days. The 160-table room at King’s Casino Rozvadov, which has hosted the World Series of Poker Europe since 2017, saw action resume at 3:00 p.m., with cards in the air for the first time since the property halted operations on March 13 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The King’s Resort Rozvadov and it’s two sister properties, King’s Casino Prague and the Admiral Casino, reopened with roulette, blackjack, slots and poker cash games available. Poker tournament action has not yet resumed, but operators indicated that an announcement about when they would should be forthcoming soon.
King’s Resort posted a photo to their Facebook page (see above) depicting poker room staff wearing both facemasks and protective face shields. The room announced a number of safety measures via a post on their social media accounts. The information shared read as follows:
The King’s Resort Rozvadov was in the middle of hosting a WSOP International Circuit series when the room halted operations in mid-March. No announcement has yet been made about when that series might resume.
