Recent Gold Bracelet Winners From The 2023 World Series of Poker

A Look At The Results From Events 26, 28, 31 and 32 at the 54th Annual WSOP

More than $91.6 million in total prize money has been awarded through the first 32 live and five online bracelet events of the 2023 World Series of Poker, with more than 82,000 entries made across those 37 completed tournaments. The 54th annual WSOP is now entering its third week of action, with tens of millions in prize money and plenty of bracelets yet to be awarded. Below is a look at the most recent bracelet winners to be crowned at the Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas.

2023 WSOP $800 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack

Renji MaoIt took one more day than initially scheduled, but Renji Mao eventually emerged victorious in the $800 buy-in no-limit hold’em deepstack event. The Chinese player topped a field of 4,747 total entries to secure $402,588 and his first gold bracelet.

This was Mao’s first six-figure live tournament score.

The tournament was slated to last three days, but Mao and bracelet winner Matthew Elsby (2nd – $248,833) had to return for a fourth day to finish their heads-up battle for the title.

The huge turnout for this event meant that 713 finishers made the money, with big names like 2013 WSOP main event champion Ryan Riess (15th), and J.J. Liu (4th) making deep runs.

2023 WSOP $1,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em

Benjamin EctorBenjamin Ector took down the $1,500 no-limit hold’em freezeout event, besting a 2,046-entry field to earn $406,403 and his first piece of WSOP hardware.

This victory saw Ector increase his lifetime tournament earnings to more than $1.5 million. His previous top score was a runner-up finish in the main event of the 2016 The River Poker Series, which saw the Marietta, GA resident earn $344,826.

The final day of this event saw Ector begin in second place among the remaining 17 contenders. Notables that joined him on the final day included 2021 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open runner-up Robel Andemichael (17th), Matthew Hunt (7th), and Nick Palma (3rd).

2023 WSOP $600 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack

Scott DulaneyHouston firefighter Scott Dulaney battled his way through a 2,759-entry field in the $600 buy-in no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha ‘Deepstack’ event to capture his first bracelet and the top prize of $194,155. This was the largest tournament score on Dulaney’s resume, and it increased his total earnings to $217,580.

Dulaney had some tough competition to contend with down the stretch, including two-time bracelet winner Barny Boatman (8th), bracelet winner Michael Holtz (7th), and recent WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown runner-up finisher Sridhar Sangannagari (2nd).

Sangannagari earned $120,004 for his runner-up showing, bringing his earnings for the year to over $890,000. The 500 Card Player Player of the Year points he secured in this event saw him move into 74th place in the 2023 POY race standings, which are presented by Global Poker.

2023 WSOP $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Max

Mark IoliThe $3,000 no-limit hold’em six-max event drew a field of 1,241 entries, building a prize pool of $3,313,470 that was paid out between the top 187 finishers. The largest share of that money went to eventual champion Mark Ioli, who scored the last knockout in this short-handed event to earn $558,266 and his first gold bracelet.

This was the biggest payday yet for Ioli, who has now cashed for more than $1.7 million across 80 recorded in-the-money finishes. This was the second final-table finish of the year for the Bayside, NY resident. The 1,440 POy points he secured with this victory saw him move within reach of the top 100 in the POY rankings.

There were plenty of accomplished tournament players at the business-end of this event, including bracelet winner Ben Diebold (19th), top POY contender Ren Lin (18th), Maria Ho (17th), WPT champion and 2023 WSOP main event tenth-place finisher Asher Conniff (16th), recent online bracelet winner Ian Matakis (15th), three-time bracelet winner Paul Volpe (12th), WPT champion Noah Schwartz (9th), and high-stakes tournament regular Chris Hunichen (8th).
