Some of the biggest names in poker stared down Paul Zimbler at the World Series of Poker Europe yesterday as he attempts to raise £50,000 for Sparks Children’s Charity and create a new heads-up world record.

Zimbler will try to play 200 consecutive heads up matches over 80 hours without any sleep.

First up was ledgend Doyle Brunson followed by Richard Ashby and Roberto Romanello.

Also dropping by over the course of the 80 hour attempt will be Annette Obrestad, Sorel Mizzi, and recent Card Player cover star Sammy George.

Check back with CardPlayer.com later in the week to see if “The Marbella Kid” can make it through the nights.
