Team PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu is to test his soccer prowess against one of the world’s leading goalkeepers in a penalty shootout wager worth £12,000.
According to UK newspaper The Sun, Negreanu, who last week finished second to Card Player’s Barry Shulman at the World Series of Poker Europe, met Jose Reina at a poker tournament and the Liverpool shot stopper bet Negreanu £12,000 that the poker player could not score a penalty against him in five attempts.
It is unknown if Negreanu has any soccer experience but it is CardPlayer.com’s advice that he practice kicking the ball hard and true into the bottom corner of the net. If he can achieve this with a good degree of consistency he is surely odds on to win the wager.
