Online Poker -- Grayson Nichols Wins Full Tilt MiniFTOPS Main Event

The Mini Full Tilt Online Poker Series XVII (MiniFTOPS) finished earlier today with the culminating $1 million-guaranteed main event.

Grayson “The_Dean221” Nichols topped a field of 15,527 in the $75 buy-in event — which began on Sunday — to take home a first-place prize of $152,086.69. A deal was reached with runner-up Michael “castellimich” Castelli, who took home $125,222.42 for his efforts.

The 11-day MiniFTOPS XVII consisted of 34 events. The series featured the same events as the normal FTOPS, but all of the buy-ins were at about one-tenth the price.

Nichols, along with all players who made a final table in the series, received a limited-edition MiniFTOPS jacket. Winners also received a silver MiniFTOPS jersey to go along with their first-place prize money.

Unknown Hippychik420 finished first on the MiniFTOPS leaderboard and will receive a special prize package — which includes entries to all FTOPS XVIII events (except the two-day event). All together, the prize package is worth about $10,000 in tournament entries.
