Four KingsApr 10, '15 Jordan Smith opened to 2,300 preflop from middle position. The player on the button made it 6,500 to go. Smith then four-bet to 16,000. The player on the button capped his cards and thought it over for a minute before slamming out a reraise. Before the dealer could even ascertain the amount Smith moved all in and the button quickly called the rest of his stack off and revealed the KK. “No good,” joked Smith, revealing the KK. The board ran out 107223 and the two chopped it up. Player Tags: Jordan Smith Jordan Smith Eliminated After Four-Way All-InApr 10, '15 An early position player limps in for 400 and Jordan Smith made it 1,600 to go from middle position. Jonathan Gaviao made the call from the cutoff and the player on the button called as well. The flop brought the AK7 and it checked around to the button, who bet 2,500. Here’s were things really got going: the early position limper now moved all in for around 13,000. Directly behind him Smith moved all in for 19,350. Gaviao went into the tank. “I’ve got such a big hand,” Gaviao said with a laugh. He eventually made the call, only to have the player on the button move all-in as well. Gaviao made the call and all four players flipped up their hands. The initial limper had the A3 for top pair and the nut flush draw. Smith had the AK and Gaviao the AK for top two pair and the payer on the button had 77 for a set of sevens. The board completed with the 5 on the turn and the 9 on the river, with the main pot going to the initial limper’s flush and the rest going to the player on the button. Smith was sent to the rail while Gaviao took a huge hit to his stack. Player Tags: Jordan Smith, Jonathan Gaviao Jordan Smith Takes His SeatApr 10, '15 Jordan Smith has more than $2 million in live tournament earnings to his name, and is looking to add that total in this main event as he recently took his seat here on day 1A. Smith topped a field of 1,695 in a $2,000 WSOP no-limit hold’em event to win his first gold bracelet and $586,212 in 2009. Later that summer he finished 10th in the WSOP main event for $896,730. The Tool, Texas native has found plenty of success at the Choctaw Casino Resort in recent years, cashing six times in events here in Durant. Player Tags: Jordan Smith Smith Turns a FlushApr 11, '15 Action folded to Jordan Smith on the button, who raised to 375. Both the small and big blind called and the flop was A95. The small blind led out for 1,100 and the big blind folded. Smith raised to 3,400 and the small blind called after a little hesitation. The turn was the 2 and the button checked and quickly called after Smith bet 5,000. The river is the 10 and the small blind reached for chips and then checked. Smith quickly checked behind and won the pot with his 86 against the small blind’s A3. Smith is up to 31,200 after he collects the chips from his flush. Player Tags: Jordan Smith |
