Las Vegas is home to the greatest casinos in the world, and when it comes to live-action poker, the poker rooms in Station Casinos' four properties - Boulder Station, Sunset Station, Palace Station, and Texas Station - offer both local and visiting players a wide variety of games, superior service, and casual, comfortable environments.

Boulder Station

Most of the team members in the poker room have been with Boulder Station since opening day. As a result, they are very familiar with the property's poker players.

The poker room contains nine tables, and the games spread on a daily basis include:

• Texas hold'em - $1-$4-$8-$8 and $4-$8-$8 with a half-kill

• Omaha high - $4-$8-$8 with a half-kill, and $6-$12-$12

• seven-card stud - $1-$5

Most of the hold'em and Omaha games continue through the graveyard shift, and games are going on 24 hours a day.

During football season, the poker room offers Monday and Thursday night football pools that cost nothing to enter. Players must be dealt a designated high hand when playing during the week to be automatically entered into one or both of the pools. The more high hands a player gets, the more chances he has of winning the hundreds of dollars given away each Monday and Thursday evening. Also, a free stadium buffet is served in the poker room on these nights.

The poker room also offers players the "33 Club." Every player who buys in to a poker game is automatically entered into a drawing that is held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and Wednesday at 9 p.m. Players must be present during the drawing for a chance to win a cash prize that can be more than $2,000.

Poker players can qualify for the Station Casinos $100,000 Poker Plus Tournament, with first place paying $20,000, by logging 40 hours of live-action play in the poker room at Boulder Station or the other three Station Casinos properties.

The friendly Boulder Station poker room team is led by Steve Deuel, poker room manager, and the room showcases its "Wall of Fame" of photos of all recent bad-beat jackpot winners. Progressive bad-beat jackpots are available in all games.

Sunset Station

Sunset Station boasts the only four-star poker room in Las Vegas, according to the Bad Poker Players Association of America, and features unique architecture and great service.

Free meal coupons are offered for three hours of live-action poker play. Tournaments are held Monday through Thursday at 10 a.m. with a $15 buy-in and no rebuys, and are "winner-take-all." The poker room also features free giveaways for players.

Palace Station

Palace Station has been a Las Vegas favorite for more than 25 years. The poker room features nine tables and a wide variety of games, including $3-$6 Omaha high-low split with a half-kill, $4-$8 hold'em with a half-kill, $3-$6 seven-card stud high-low split with a half-kill, and $1-$5 seven-card stud.

The bad-beat jackpots in the stud and hold'em games are often in excess of $40,000, and bad-beat bonus hours put additional thousands of dollars in prize money up for grabs. Each day, the poker room has a special promotion, including "Ladies Hold'em," "No-Limit Hold'em," and "Saturday Omaha High." As is the case with all Station Casinos poker rooms, the Palace Station poker room offers liberal comps, and two hours of play earns a player a free meal.

Texas Station

The Texas Station poker room has nine tables and offers $4-$8 hold'em with a half-kill, $1-$5 seven-card stud, $3-$6 Omaha, and more. The poker room also features a high-hand promotion, in which players can qualify for big bonus payouts. Its many fine restaurants, movie theaters, bars and lounges, and other gaming choices make Texas Station a poker player's favorite.

All in all, Stations Casinos feature great poker action in comfortable poker rooms with friendly staffs, tournaments, liberal comps, and superb service.diamonds
