With the World Series of Poker Europe now in the rearview mirror, the bracelet race that has occupied most of 2022 is now officially finished. The WSOPE saw several top performers add to their career totals, including six-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu. He scored two cashes at the series for a total of $155,323, including a final-table showing in the €25,000 high roller bracelet event. As a result, Negreanu closed the gap somewhat on current all-time WSOP earnings leader Antonio Esfandiari.

The majority of Esfandiari’s earnings came in the first-ever million-dollar buy-in poker tournament, the 2012 Big One For One Drop. Esfandiari, now 43, topped a field of 48 entries in that trailblazing tournament to earn $18,346,673. The three-time bracelet winner has 46 total cashes in bracelet events, with $21.9 million in earnings accrued along the way.

Thanks to his recent scores at the King’s Resort & Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, Negreanu now sits just $1,185,360 behind Esfandiari on this leaderboard. Negreanu also secured a big chunk of his $20.7 million thanks to a deep run in a seven-figure buy-in event. The 48-year-old was the runner-up in the 2014 running of the ‘Big One,’ banking $8,288,001.

The player that defeated Negreanu in the million-dollar buy-in event in 2014 is Dan Colman. He earned $15,306,668 for that victory, which accounts for the vast majority of his $17,413,780 in total bracelet-event earnings. Colman backed up his big score by placing third in the $111,111 buy-in event in 2015 for another $1,544,121.

The other players among the top 10 on this list are a mix of main event champions (Phil Hellmuth, Jonathan Duhamel, Joe Cada, Martin Jacobson) and Big One For One Drop top performers (Fedor Holz, Justin Bonomo, Elton Tsang). While the WSOP has (finally) wrapped up for 2022, it won’t be too long before the bracelet events start anew next year, bringing more changes to this and many other leaderboards. ♠
