The Card Player Poker Tour is once again teaming up with bestbet Jacksonville, home of the largest poker room in Florida, for a nine-event tournament series.

The 2023 CPPT bestbet Jacksonville is scheduled for Aug. 10-21, and this will be the tenth CPPT festival held at the North Florida poker hotspot.

“We’re excited to welcome back the Card Player Poker Tour for a tenth series,” said bestbet Executive Director of Poker Operations Jesse Hollander. “The schedule has something for everyone, and it promises to be one of our most popular festivals of the year.”

While past CPPT bestbet events have been built around a standard no-limit hold’em tournament, this year the centerpiece of the series will be the $1,700 buy-in, $300,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty main event. The tournament will run from Thursday, Aug. 17 through Monday, Aug. 21, with a massive top bounty prize of $50,000 slated to go to one lucky player.

In this tournament format, $500 from each of the buy-ins goes toward the bounty prize pool. Anyone who makes it to day 2 will be in the money and have a bounty placed on their head. Knock a player out, and you’ll get that bounty and the chance to draw an envelope from the prize drum, which could be worth anywhere from $500 to $50,000.
There’s no limit to how many bounties you can cash in!

The Mystery Bounty main event sports three starting flights, each beginning at noon Aug. 17-19. Players will start with 30,000 in chips and enjoy 40-minute levels. Players can enter any and all starting flights.

Day 2 will be livestreamed on bestbetLIVE, the cardroom’s popular YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook Live channel that hosts tournament and cash game action. The stream will also document all the excitement as players secure and open their mystery bounties.

The main event final table will be also streamed on bestbetLIVE on Aug. 21, as will the final day of the $100,000 guaranteed $400 buy-in kickoff event (streamed Aug. 13) and the final table of the $300 ladies event (streamed Aug. 16).

Other events on the schedule include a $400 bounty, a $300 Big O, an $880 six-max no-limit, and the bestbet $500.

The CPPT’s last stop in Jacksonville took place in November of 2022. The main event saw Floridian poker pro TK Miles defeat a field of 224 entries in the $3,000 buy-in freezeout tournament.

Miles earned $121,480 from the prize pool of $604,800 after he struck a heads-up deal with 10-time WSOP Circuit gold ring winner Jeff Trudeau, who took home $109,321 as the official runner-up finisher.
