With the 2023 WSOP now in the rearview, let’s take a look at the top ten female players when it comes to accumulating in-the-money finishes in bracelet events.
Sitting alone at the 100-cashes mark is Kathy Liebert. The 55-year-old bracelet winner and Women in Poker Hall of Fame member was under the spotlight this summer thanks to her second consecutive nomination to the Poker Hall of Fame. Liebert added 10 in-the-money finishes to her total this summer, accruing over $30,000 in earnings to bring her lifetime tally in bracelet events to nearly $1.5 million. Liebert has just shy of $7 million in total tournament earnings, the second-most of any female player in history. Only three-time bracelet winner Vanessa Selbst ($10.9 million) has earned more on the circuit.
Maria Ho sits in second place with 84 bracelet-event cashes. The 40-year-old poker player and commentator managed eight cashes for over $77,400 in earnings this summer. Her top score came when she placed 17th in the $3,000 six-max no-limit hold’em event. Ho now has over $1.7 million in bracelet-event earnings, bringing her overall total to nearly $4.3 million.
Joanne ‘JJ’ Liu cashed for the most of any player in the top three this summer, earning $167,214 across eight in-the-money finishes. Liu now has more than $792,000 in scores at the series across 81 cashes, and total career tournament earnings in excess of $3.8 million. Her marquee run this summer was a fourth-place showing in an $800 no-limit hold’em deepstack event for $140,442.
Other players with more than 50 bracelet event cashes to their names include two-time bracelet winner Loni Hui (65), WSOP tag-team event runner-up Jamie Kerstetter (62), three-time bracelet winner Kristen Foxen (54), and Lexy Gavin (51). The top 10 is rounded out by bracelet winner Allyn Shulman (48), ACR Poker ambassador Katie Lindsay (48), and Vanessa Kade (46). ♠
