The Card Player Create a Card Player Cover Contest (the "Contest") is sponsored by Card Player Media, LLC (the "Company"). By entering the Contest, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following official rules (the "Rules"). Please review these Rules carefully. If you do not agree to the Rules in their entirety, you are not permitted to win the prize.
U.S. law and local laws as applicable in each jurisdiction govern this challenge. You must be 21 years of age or older at the time of entry to win. Employees of the Card Player and any of the contest sponsors, and their respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and the immediate families of each are ineligible to participate in this promotion. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
Cover submissions will be accepted from July 2, 2010 to July 31, 2010. To submit your cover, upload it on the CP Cover Contest tab on the Card Player Facebook page.
The winner of the Contest will be the person who submitted the Cover that receives the most "Likes". The winner will be announced August 1, 2010. The winner is subject to eligibility verification. The winners will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within fourteen (14) days following the announcement. Non-compliance within this time period will result in forfeiture of the prize. The winner may also be required to provide picture proof of identification, which may include a driver's license, passport, voting card or similar government issued identification. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in forfeiture, and the prize awarded to the second-place entrant. In no case shall the Company be liable in any manner where a winner has not received notification sent from the Company or where the Company fails to receive a response from the winner within the required response period. It is the submitter's responsibility to ensure that the Company has their correct email address on file.
The following items outline the parameters of the Contest:
Federal, state and local taxes, and all similar fees and assessments, are the responsibility of the winner.
No substitution or transfer of prizes will be accommodated or permitted, other than in Card Player's sole discretion.
Contest entry constitutes permission for Card Player to use contestants' names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Card Player and/or its parent or affiliated companies reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. In such an event, Card Player and/or its parent or affiliated companies reserves the right, but not the obligation, to select winners from eligible entries who qualify as of the termination date.
By entering the Contest, each contestant agrees to release and hold harmless Card Player, each of their legal representatives, their affiliates, subsidiaries, parents, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from, or in connection with, the Contest including, but not limited to, liability arising from copyright infringement, improper use of likeness, personal injury, death, damages or monetary loss. Restrictions, conditions and limitations apply. By entering, each contestant further agrees that, in the event that there is any conflict or other inconsistency between these Rules and any advertisements, promotional or marketing materials, e-mails or announcements relevant to the Contest, these Rules will govern. Any disputes arising out of or related to the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada (without regard to conflict of law principles). Should a dispute arise concerning the Contest, the parties agree to submit their dispute for resolution to the U.S. District Court for Clark County, Nevada. Should any part of these Rules be held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed consistent with applicable law and the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. To the extent that Card Player's Privacy Policy and/or Terms and Conditions are in conflict or inconsistent with these Rules as they pertain to the Contest, these Rules shall take precedence.
