Ready for the WSOP

It certainly seems like the WSOP is upon us. There is an excitement in the air and everyone seems to be talking about which events they will play and what the changes will be this year. I feel like a little kid the night before Christmas. I am particularly excited about the roll out of our educational services and working with some of the final table players.

I went over to the Rio yesterday and registered for the first 4 events I'm going to play. I kind of wanted to walk down to the convention area and sneak a look at the Amazon room, but I restrained myself thinking I would soon be spending enough time there. The early registration process was fast and efficient, no line and it took about 2 minutes. The lines for the second event will probably be monstrous.

For those of you who have never been to the WSOP it is truly the yearly event where so many make the pilgrimage to test their game against one another. It is a huge room with a cash game area, a satellite area, and of course a tournament area. There were two feature tables last year, one in the amphitheatre and one outside of it. It is a sight to behold.

Today I'm off to run some errands and get some last minute things organized before beginning six weeks of eat, sleep, poker. I will probably play a little live action at the Wynn later. I have been there a lot over the past weeks and have really enjoyed playing there. I won't be playing cash games much over the next six weeks so I'm getting me fill of it now. I do enjoy playing and find it relaxing, if you're wondering why I'm not just relaxing by the pool or something. I also decided not to attend the APT event in Manila. I really wanted to go, but would have missed the first WSOP event and with the time change and travel thought it was best to focus my efforts here.
