The Most Interesting Man in the World and Sweating Shaun Deeb Online

Last night was an interesting experience for me. To begin with, I was eliminated a few places before the money in 24th place. It was a rough day, I kept running into AA and KK all day, and it’s hard to survive for long when that happens. On the positive side of things several of my friends are doing well. Layne Flack, who is now adopted the title of “Most Interesting Man in the World” from the beer commercial. I have to admit that I had never seen the ad and had no earthly idea what he was ranting about. Once I watched it on you-tube it was really quite funny. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUCbawzBzPg Layne now has the beard to match and is claiming that the commercial features an actor that is playing him. It’s a good thing that I know several good psychiatrists because it’s about time for the net.

Last night I had the pleasure of sweating Shaun Deeb while he played lots of online events. I watched him for hours and was stunned at his focus and precision. It was like nothing I had ever seen before, his ability to follow all the games with incredible speed. His attitude while playing was equally impressive. I felt like I learned a lot, but there was also the realization that I was like a ten handicapper watching Tiger Woods.

The field here at the Merit Cyprus WPT is now down to 10 players, with Ralph Porter leading in chips and Layne and Jonathan Little next. Huck Seed is still doing well and although I didn’t take him up on the foot race he now wants to have a swimming race from the beach outside our hotel to this rock off the shore about 1000 yards. This time I’m all in. Although I haven’t been swimming a lot lately, I’m going to give it a try.

I will let you know what happened later-I hope!
