If The Borgata Was a Dude - Fellatio? Negreanu Doth Protest Too Much

Wow is all I can say after reading Negreanu’s latest blog. I think he needs a bit of a reality check. Let me begin with the disclaimer, I respect all that Daniel has accomplished in poker, but has he fallen that far out of touch with reality? I would guess that as the marquee sponsored pro for Pokerstars all his buy-ins are paid in addition to a large income from that site. His resources are way beyond all but a handful of poker players. And here’s what you are missing, the reason you make all that money is because of the little guy. That’s right it’s the average poker player that keeps the lights on, not the high stakes player. If all the average players went away, Negreanu could go back to grinding out a living in a poker room. How about just play a tour of high roller events and attract a field of between 6 and 50 where Negreanu and Hellmuth are guaranteed to win once in a while. Let me be clear, I’m not saying he hasn’t worked hard and performed well to earn it, however, his perception of the poker world is so far out of touch with reality that it is shocking. He say’s he wants bigger prize pools, but the last two WPT 10k buy ins, The Legends at the Bike and Merit Casino in Cyprus attracted 279 and 191 players respectively. If you do the math, you will see that the prize pool at The Borgata, yes that’s right I said The Borgata is substantially larger than either of the previous two. When it comes to his metaphor about me performing fellatio on the Borgata if it was a dude, well, Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much. Enough said; I’m not interested in a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
