He deserved it

Every time I write a blog that contains my world views I get a lot of nasty emails and comments on here saying, in addition to other things, “stick to poker, noone cares what you have to say about other things”. Ofcourse these are people who disagree with me.
I have been playing poker for a long time, and those of you who know me, know, I don’t like telling badbeat stories or bragging about how well I think I played a hand. If there is something in the poker world that is interesting and I have an opinion about, that is what I blog about. I try and tie poker into my blog in some way, but not always.
There are plenty of blogs here on Cardplayer that focus mostly on poker, and I bet you don’t read them, they are boring. You read mine because I only try and write when I have something to say, wether you agree or disagree.
I enjoy Doyles blog, and read them all, mostly for the nonpoker material. There are a couple other blogs I find hit and miss.
Now, here’s what I’ve done pokerwise today. I sat on my couch playing $160 Superturbo Sit-n-Go’s and watching the people on TV denegrating Obama’s Nobel Peace prize untill I felt like putting my 2 cents in and switched to a $5 MTT and started this blog.
Ofcourse he deserves it and I think it is shared by the americans who voted him in. We stopped a Mccain/Palin administration that would have been disasterous. I like Mccain and he is good senator, but would have been a horrible president. Even conservative republican leader Pat Buchanan said that Mccain would make “Dick Cheney look like Gandhi”.
And Palin…that reminds me, those of you that read my blogs, even though you hate what I have to say, do so for the same reason I never change the chanel when they tease a Sarah Palin comment comming up after the break.
Basicly though the international community feels we woke up in the nick of time and saved the world by electing a super inteligent, wise and good hearted man to be president. He has a lot to clean up and before he came on the scene I thought it was hopeless. With his election I now think there is at least a chance.
I am doing pretty well in the $5 MTT so shouldn’t be hurt by sitting out 20 minutes now while I go feed the chimps, wish me luck.

As far as my spelling…blame cardplayer for no spellcheck and my lack of technical knowhow for not writting it elsewhere and transfering it.
