WSOP

Wow. The Pavilion, the main poker venue this year is absolutely gargantuan. You can sense the adrenalin in the room.

So many people asked why I did not play in Event #2, the $50,000 mixed event tournament. Simple, if I were one of the 90% who don’t cash, it would stress me to the point of not playing well for a week or two. Who needs that? They had about 120 top pros. There is no edge there for me.

Instead I played Event #3 today, the $1,000 NLHE event. I played well (I think) for six hours, trapped a guy good and lost to him with a 70%er. Not a big deal, but not the result I wanted.

On the other hand, I am just down $1,000 instead of $50,000.

Tomorrow Jeff and I have an ESPN interview together and I will play Omaha at 5:00pm.
