Out of WPT Barcelona

Out in the last level of the night. I'm getting good at that. I drew a starting table that wasn't very good. Steve Sung was two to my left as he is in every WPT event. It is a statistical mystery how often we're seated together. William Thorson was three to my right. There were some Europeans at the table who played decent and just one, maybe two real weak spots. I was up to 19500 from the 15000 starting stack after 90 minutes of play. I had a bad third level though and was down to 15600 with the average around 16000 as we took dinner break midway through the night. I came back from dinner and my table had broken. I drew one of the most unenviable seats of my tournament career. I was in the 8 seat at a table with Nenad Medic, Gus Hansen, and Ozzy "Ozzy87" Sheikh all to my direct left in that order. Sean McCabe was also at the table. I entered 6 pots and won just one of them when I stole the blinds over the next 90 minutes. Nenad and Sean were both busted by Ozzy. I took 11100 in chips into the last break with 90 minutes to play in the night. When we got back a Scandy in the HJ that had me covered opened for 900 at 150/300, and I attempted a resteal from the SB to 2800 with T8o, and after some thought he moved me in for my last 8200. I folded. I hung around and then 15 minutes into the final level of the night the bustout hand came up. Ozzy had been unbelievably active when I first arrived but had slowed down when this hand came up. He opened for 900 from the 3hole 8 handed. I found 9c9d in the BB. I had 8300 chips total and found myself in a dilemma. I could shove and probably take the pot down most of the time, but it felt fishy to shove 8300 to win 1550. This is a shove a lot of times online, but I didn't like it here. The flop came Qs8s8x. I checked and Ozzy asked me how much I had left before he bet 1600 into the 2150. I thought for one minute and then moved in my final 7400. It's completely read dependent, and I thought I'd picked up a tell on Ozzy throughout the session. I was wrong. He thought for around a minute, and I actually thought there was a chance he'd call me with a worse hand like 77 or 66. When he called I flipped up my hand and he showed me Q4dd for the best hand. I missed my 2 outs. Ozzy is going to be a force to be reckoned with if he keeps playing like he did today. He plays well and with class, which is a rare combo to see from a young guy. I have no idea what the plans are now. We are scheduled to fly back to the US on the 17th which is 5 days from now. We may go to Scotland (Stephanie's homeland), or I may just pack up and come home. There are some prelims in Vegas for a 10000 dollar main event at Caesar's that I'll play on the 22nd. The US Pokerbowl also starts on October 20th. I'm on a team with BigJoe2003, Jcardshark, Imper1um, z32fanatic, and inissint, so I might head out to Vegas early or might hang out in Birmingham. The only positive of the trip is that I won a decent sized tournament the other day online. I am still very convinced I'm going to make something happen in a big live tournament soon. I deserve it, I think.
