PaddyPowerPoker.com has announced early details of the Irish Open 2011 and its €100,000 Sole Survivor promotion.

The €3,200 + €300 Irish Open main event will take place at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin, Ireland from Apr. 22-25, 2011 and will again feature the €100,000 Sole Survivor promotion, which means the last PaddyPowerPoker.com qualifier standing will also win €100,000 as well as any main event prize money awarded.

This year the biggest change to the structure is the size of the starting chip stack. After listening to player feedback, PaddyPowerPoker has increased the amount of chips each player starts off with from 10,000 to 20,000.

Online satellites for the Irish Open 2011 kick off on Oct. 31 at PaddyPowerPoker.com with a €200 + €20 super satellite at 8 p.m., which will guarantee two Irish Open seats.

Paddy Power, Communications Manager for the site, said, “It was a pleasure to see so many people turn out for the Irish Open 2010 and in these challenging times to beat the record for main event entries (708) was a testament to the loyalty of our players and the ever improving reputation of the event.

“Next year’s Irish Open will be bigger and better than ever before and we have already started the preparations to make sure of this. Many of our players sought an increased starting stack and we are delighted to deliver on this for 2011. We are also working on a side event schedule that will provide more variety for our players throughout the weekend.”

A full schedule of side events will be announced in the upcoming months. For more Irish Open 2011 details visit IrishPokerOpen.com.

The 2010 champion was James Mitchell. The young Brit took the Terry Rogers memorial trophy and the first place prize of €600,000 back to England after beating Irishman Paul Carr heads up.
