Patrik Antonius has been running well lately, and fellow high-stakes regular Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky has been one of his recent victims.
This past Saturday, Antonius and Sulsky sat down at the virtual felt for some $200-$400 no-limit hold’em action on Full Tilt Poker. The brief session gave Antonius a profit of more than $100,000.
Part of the profits were thanks to hitting a straight on the river for slightly more than $99,000.

The confrontation started when Antonius raised to $1,200 from the button. Sulsky three-bet to $4,000, and Antonius called. The flop came 9 5 3.
Sulsky bet $3,825, and Antonius called. The Q fell on the turn and Sulsky bet $9,150. Antonius once again called. The river brought the 4, giving Antonius his gut-shot. Sulsky put Antonius all in for $32,823. The Finnish pro called with his straight, and Sulsky mucked his pair.
According to Card Player’s Texas Hold’em odds calculator, Sulsky wins about 84 percent of the time on the turn. Nevertheless, Antonius scooped the $99,596 pot.
