Theo Jorgensen Signs With PokerStars

2010 World Series of Poker Main Event 30th-Place Finisher Joins Team PokerStars Pro

Theo JorgensenEarlier today, PokerStars announced the signing of Theo Jorgensen to Team PokerStars Pro.

The Danish pro will begin his role as brand ambassador by hosting the opening event of the Nordic Championship of Online Poker on November 4.

“I’m delighted to be joining the world’s largest poker site,” the 38-year-old Jorgensen said in a press release. “PokerStars has always hosted the best poker events in the world and sponsors only the most talented players, so I am very excited to be a part of this.”

Jorgensen’s poker accomplishments include wins at the 2010 World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris for $848,736 and at a 2008 World Series of Poker Europe pot-limit Omaha event for $394,150. Jorgensen has also made two European Poker Tour final tables.

Jorgensen was the chip leader for a portion of the 2010 WSOP main event. He eventually went out in 30th place for a payday of $255,242. Altogether, Jorgensen has $2,459,967 in career tournament earnings.
