June 12, 2006 (Las Vegas, Nevada) -The Venetian Poker Room is continuing to offer poker players some terrific promotions and unique amenities throughout the month of June.
"We are excited with the poker room and the reception it has gotten from the poker community," stated Kathy Raymond, director of poker operations. "With the fantastic promotions, amenities, friendliness and overall atmosphere that we are offering, it is not surprising that more and more poker players are coming to The Venetian to experience the "New Face of Poker™". Since the room officially opened, we have consistently seen a 30% increase in business every week. And the word is out - The Venetian is the newest poker hot spot on the Strip."
Venetian Players Club members will earn double comp points for playing until August and players can qualify for special suite rates with six hours of play (based on availability).
Opportunities to qualify for the half-million-dollar freeroll poker tournament will continue throughout June. Players who accumulate 50 hours of rated play per month through the end of July, or 200 hours of rated play by July 31, will qualify for a free entry to the August 11, 12 and 13 freeroll tournament. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 200 finishers.
A $25,000 "Bad Beat Jackpot" will also continue throughout the month of June.
Guests who are present when adding their name to a list but must wait for an available seat, will be given a pager, notifying them the moment their seat becomes open.
And unlike other Las Vegas poker rooms, players can call in to reserve a place on a poker game list, and even if they're not present when it's time claim a seat, their name may be "rolled-over" for up to an hour.
When poker players arrive, they can utilize special valet privileges or park their own vehicle in a reserved area on the 5th floor of the parking garage. (See the poker room manager. Parking passes are distributed according to availability.)
Players are also treated to a complimentary continental breakfast of pastries, juices and donuts from 9-11 AM daily.
And for beginners, free poker lessons are available upon request, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
