|
The PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour has announced it will return for a fourth season, and its schedule will include a new destination — Colombia’s largest city, Bogota. Also announced were returns to the familiar venues in Brazil, Chile, Peru and Argentina.
Season 4 will also introduce the LAPT Player of the Year awards to honor those who consistently perform at a high level. Those awards will include the tour’s Player of the Year, 6-Max Player of the Year and Best Online Qualifier of the Year. Last year, such awards were not around to honor players like Jose ‘Nacho’ Barbero, who won two straight LAPT main event titles during season 3.
Awards will also be presented for best Latin American country (based on the number of players registered and cashing per country), as well as the player-voted awards of Venue of the Year and Achievement of the Year.
