Aleksandr YasnogorodskyYoung Russian Aleksandr Yasnogorodsky won the €1,100 buy-in Red Sea Poker Cup main event last weekend, beating 86 other players to the €26,400 top prize.

Yasnogorodsky’s final opponent was also from Russia, as were all the final-table players, apart from the fifth-place finisher, Potemkin from Belarus. In the ultimate hand, Roman Shugrin’s pocket deuces were beaten by Yasnogorodsky’s pocket threes as the board brought nothing for either player.

Here are the final table results and payouts:

1. Aleksandr Yasnogorodsky (Russia) €26,400
2. Roman Shurgin (Russia) €17,490
3. Sergey Tikhonov (Russia) €12,000
4. Aleksey Veselov (Russia) €8,000
5. Vyacheslav Potemkin (Belarus) €5,900
6. Evgeny Shnayder (Russia) €4,500
7. Aleksandr Scherbakov (Russia) €3,500
8. Vladimir Fogel (Russia) €,2700
9. Maksim Semisoshenko (Russia) €2,100
10. Ilyaz Dosikov (Russia) €1,800

The Red Sea Poker Cup took place at the Domina Coral Bay Hotel & Casino, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. There will be more international events from tournament organisers, Poker Club Management, in the New Year.
