PokerStars has announced the launch of its newest software, which allows anyone anywhere to take part in or set up their own home games online.

Home Games online enable both the casual and professional poker player to create their own poker clubs and compete against friends, or indeed foes, in private cash games or tournaments across a wide variety of poker disciplines, for whatever stakes, even for free.

The new software allows players to run bigger games than they may be able to in their own homes, as up to 50 members are allowed in each club. They can compete in leagues and leader boards and keep continuous score of their progress.

To get involved, players must set up clubs by becoming a club manager via the “Home Games” tab in the PokerStars lobby, or indeed join a club they have been invited to. There are more instructions on how to do so at the PokerStars client.

To celebrate the launch of the software, PokerStars is giving away a fantastic trip for up to eight people to one of four locations. The winner can choose from Macau, Vancouver, EPT Snowfest, and Buenos Aires. When they get there they will get a hosted game and a big night out with World Series of Poker champion Jonathan Duhamel, Daniel Negreanu, and another Team PokerStars pro of their choice.

To be in with a shot, players must simply start a PokerStars Home Games online poker club, get seven friends or more to join, and play two real money or five play-money games by Mar. 5. Completing these three steps leads to entry to the Ultimate Home Game $100,000 Freeroll which is taking place on Mar. 6, where the winner will take down this amazing trip for their poker club.
