The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa has released details about its first ever Borgata Summer Poker Open Tournament that will be held at the Atlantic City casino through the month of July.

The Summer Poker Open will be the first series to take place in Borgata's newly remodeled poker room, which is scheduled to open June 30. More details about the new room are soon to come.

The Summer Open is a 13 event series featuring tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $350 to the championship event that costs $5,200. The Open kicks-off Wednesday, July 5, with a $560 no-limit hold'em event. Tournaments take place every day from July 5 to the start of the championship event on July 17. Two stud and an Omaha event is included in the schedule. The championship will take four days to complete.

The Borgata is also holding many satellites, super satellites and single-table tournaments during the Summer Poker Open.

For example, players can win their way into the championship event in one of seven $290 super-satellites that take place throughout the month. Players can even win their way into the championship for as little as $130 by qualifying in the Act I and II super-satellites.

Also starting July 5 are daily single table tournaments that run the length of the Summer Poker Open. Buy-ins for these range from $65 and go all the way up to $1,040. Buy-ins also cost $120, $270 and $530. These tournaments run 24 hours a day while the series is going on.
