Live Tournament Poker -- March Preview

The month of March will pick up where February left off in offering big buy-in live poker all around the globe.

There will be four World Series of Poker Circuit stops in March. The final table of the WSOPC main event at Florida’s Palm Beach Kennel Club is set for March 1, and it will be followed by the WSOPC visit to Caesars Atlantic City (March 2-13), the WSOPC Regional Championship at Harrah’s Rincon (March 11-30) and the WSOPC at Harrah’s St. Louis (March 31-April 12).

Los Angeles will welcome the North American Poker Tour into town, March 4-12. After a $5,000 main event (March 5), the series will come to an end with a $10,300 no-limit hold’em bounty shootout (March 11) inside the Bicycle Casino. Both will be televised on ESPN2.

The next stop on the Heartland Poker Tour schedule is March 13-20 at the Shooting Star Casino & Hotel in Mahnomen, MN. It will end with a $1,100 main event. The HPT will close out the month at Meskwaki Casino in Iowa, March 27-April 3.

The World Poker Tour returns to the felt on March 14 for the $10,000 buy-in Bay 101 Shooting Star Main Event. Not long after, the WPT will be in Vienna for a €3,500 main event (March 25) and €10,000 high roller event (March 27). WPT Bratislava takes place at Golden Vegas in Slovakia, March 30-April 3.

March is also heavy with PokerStars events. The Latin American Poker Tour heads to the Vina del Mar Casino in Chile, March 17-19, and the European Poker Tour follows that with EPT Snowfest at the Alpine Palace, March 20-25.

The Asian Poker Tour will return to the Philippines at the end of the month for a series of events including a $2,700 main event and $10,000 high-roller event March 28-April 3.
