Largest Euro Poker Event Set For April

A new poker tournament with big plans to break boundaries is D-Day Poker. D-Day 1 Live will simultaneously bring together over 100 different poker venues across both the UK and Ireland for what is anticipated to be the largest poker event in Europe.

All participating venues will kick the €60 (+ local operator reg fee) event off on Friday, Apr. 1 at 9 p.m. with 8,000 in starting chips per player plus a 20-minute blind clock running on the official website for the tournament, d-daypoker.com.

With more than 2,000 players expected across all venues, what may seem like a small game in the local could see poker lovers competing for a slice of a €100,000 prize pool.

When the field in each venue has been decreased to 25 percent of its original size, play will end. Records will then be kept of the players who remain as they will be coming together at the INEC Killarney, Ireland for day 2.

Day 2 will see blinds begin at 200-400 with a 40 minute clock. There will be no direct buy-ins to day 2.
