The Mini Full Tilt Online Poker Series (MiniFTOPS) is back to give players with more modest bankrolls a chance at poker glory.
MiniFTOPS XIX kicked off Sunday with the first of 45 events. The schedule features the same events as the normal FTOPS, but all of the buy-ins are at about one-tenth the price.
Even with the small buy-ins, the site has guaranteed $8 million in prize money.
The 14-day series will feature the MiniFTOPS two-day event ($200+$16 buy-in with a $600,000 guarantee), the MiniFTOPS main event ($70+$5 buy-in with a $1.25 million guarantee), and seven Rush Poker tournaments. Nine of the events will be multi-entry events, including the main event.
Whoever finishes first on the MiniFTOPS leaderboard will receive a special prize package, which includes entries to all FTOPS XX events (except the two-day event and $10,000 heads up). All together, the prize package is worth about $14,000 in tournament entries.
