Michael McDerra Wins UK & Ireland Poker Tour Final

Plymouth Man Takes Down £76,000 In Machester At Latest UKIPT

Matthew McDerraMichael McDerra from Plymouth, England, is the latest PokerStars.com UK & Ireland Poker Tour champion having taken down £76,000 at UKIPT Manchester yesterday.

The 27-year-old topped a 615-strong field at the G Casino in the north of England city. The prize pool for the £500 buy in main event hit £307,500 and 81 players got paid.

McDerra beat Mateusz Warowiec after six hours heads up play when the blinds were a colossal 80,000/160,000.

The final table payouts were:

2: Mateusz Warowiec — £43,500
3: Robert Angood — £27,600
4: Mick Fletcher — £20,300
5: JP Kelly — £16,000
6: Paul Nash — £12,600
