Michael McDerra from Plymouth, England, is the latest PokerStars.com UK & Ireland Poker Tour champion having taken down £76,000 at UKIPT Manchester yesterday.
The 27-year-old topped a 615-strong field at the G Casino in the north of England city. The prize pool for the £500 buy in main event hit £307,500 and 81 players got paid.
McDerra beat Mateusz Warowiec after six hours heads up play when the blinds were a colossal 80,000/160,000.
