Dutchman Mateusz Moolhuizen took down the Unibet Open Malta main event after beating 292 players to the top prize of €117,000. Moolhuizen’s final opponent in the €1,650 buy-in event was fellow countryman Tobias Peters.
Moolhuizen held the chip lead going into the heads up, however that was to change many times within the three hours the Dutch men tangled.
Finally, while out in front, Moolhuizen moved all in with K-10 and Peters called with K-6 which stayed behind. Peters took home €76,000 from a total prize pool of €417,525 for his runner-up finish.

The next stop on the live tour is Barcelona. This event will run from Jun. 9-12, but qualifiers are already up and running with many inexpensive routes such as daily €2 feeders and even freerolls.
There is no need to wait until June for more however as the next Unibet Open will take place at Unibet.com on Apr. 3 at 7 p.m. (CET) and will feature a guaranteed prize pool of €25,000. The €300 + €20 buy-in event will see players sit down at the virtual felt with 10,000 in chips and a one-hour clock.
Qualifiers are also running for this event at Unibet.com with daily freerolls and cheap satellites which feed into a €55 + €5 buy-in final satellite at 10 p.m. (CET) Monday to Wednesday, or a €100 + €10 final satellite at 10 p.m. Thursday to Sunday.
