PKR Social comes to London for some poker action and fun this evening and all day tomorrow.
Festivities kick off at 8 p.m. (GMT) tonight with a sit ‘n’ go party featuring various different games and formats including doubles team poker. Action is almost guaranteed as things are bound to get crazy at the Fox Poker Club with a free bar on hand.
Stepping it up on Saturday there is a $130 deep stack main event at 1 p.m. with an estimated prize pool of $15,000 including a top prize of more than $4,000. There will be prizes also for knocking out PKR staff members and pros. For those who may be interested there are a limited number of direct buy-in seats available for the tournament.
Marketing Manager, Erika Schwarz, said, “PKR Socials give players the chance to meet, socialise and have fun. PKR Social: London provides the banter of crazy sit & go’s, a deep stack tournament, as well as the PKR staff Vs player battle, which will see players hunt down the staff and Team PKR Pros bounties for bragging rights and cool PKR prizes.”
The first PKR Social took place in Manchester in February and included a mixed martial arts experience at the BAMMA 5 bout at the MEN arena. The concept gives PKR.com players the chance to meet at various poker-filled events around the UK. A PKR Social golf day has been arranged for April, ahead of the PKR Live VI £750 buy-in main event in May.
