In 2003, an online qualifier named Chris Moneymaker shocked the poker world and started a poker boom that redefined the game and brought the allure of card playing to millions of new people. The newcomer to the game topped a field of 839 players in the World Series of Poker main event to take home a mammoth $2.5 million.

You might not start your own poker boom, but you could be the next one to win an obscure online tournament en route to holding the main event bracelet (or one of the other 57 bracelets) and bricks of cash this year.

As we near this summer’s WSOP, it’s time to take a look at the numerous ways you can qualify for poker’s richest annual tournament, whether or not you are located in Europe or still playing online in the United States. Card Player has partnered with a number of sites who are currently offering ways to win seats for dirt cheap.

CarbonPoker: Players can qualify for a $250+$25 main event final for as low as $2. Proceeding from a small sit-and-go, players can qualify through three multitable tournaments for the final event that will award main event prize packages. Players may buy in at any level or work their way up to the grand final events, where either large guaranteed prize pools or $12,500 real life tournament packages are given away.

Note: CarbonPoker is accepting U.S. players.

Betfair: The site has 12 daily quailifers that each will award a $320 tournament ticket. Each ticket can be used for WSOP main event satellites ($14,500 prize packages awarded) or WSOP side event satellites ($3,600 prize packages). A total nine main event qualifiers and 18 side event satellites have been guaranteed, and the schedule will conclude on June 5.

TitanPoker: The online site is letting you qualify for the WSOP main event for as little as $8.80, the $10,000 pot-limit Omaha championship event for as low as $16.50, and other side events for just $11. The last super satellite for the main event will take place on June 21. Main event prize packages include the tournament buy in, $1,120 for 7 nights at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas and $1,600 for flights and spending.
